Classification: HED achondrite (Eucrite)
History: Purchased in june 2015 at Sainte Marie aux Mines mineral show.
Physical characteristics: Brownish crusted stone. Cut surface reveals light-gray interior.
Petrography: Igneous rock with brecciated variety of textures. Main minerals are pyroxene and plagioclase. Metal rich clasts. Accessory silica polymorph, metal, troilite, chromite and ilmenite.
Geochemistry: Low-Ca pyroxene Fs44.5±8.2Wo12.2±6.4 (n=13), rangeFs32.9-59.8Wo21.8-4.1, FeO/MnO=31.8±1.8. Plagioclase An86.0Ab13.3Or0.7 (n=2).
Classification: Eucrite.
Specimens: 9.65 g and a polished section at CEREGE. Main mass with Pierre-Marie Pelé.
