Find: 1994
Classification: Ordinary chondrite (L5)
History: Found by Geologist Carlos Auernheimer Arguinano in the year 1994 while on a field trip through the Monegros desert in Spain. Later acquired through his son Jorge Auernheimer Chapin by Geologist Juan Aviles Poblador.
Physical characteristics: Single stone with dark-brown fusion crust.
Petrography: (D. Sheikh, FSU) Specimen is composed of chondrules (700±100 µm, n=12) set in a fine-grained matrix containing secondary recrystallized feldspar (20±5 µm), chromite, troilite, kamacite, taenite, and Fe-oxides.
Geochemistry: Olivine (Fa24.7±0.6, range Fa24.0-26.3, n=32), Low-Ca Pyroxene (Fs21.1±0.8Wo1.5±0.4, range Fs19.7-22.6Wo0.9-2.1, n=28).
Classification: Ordinary chondrite (L5).
Specimens: 16 grams at UCLA, main mass with Geologist Juan Aviles Poblador.
