Classification: Pallasite
History: Purchased in 2020 by Topher Spinnato and Oz Backman from a meteorite dealer in Niger.
Physical characteristics: The stones are brown in color and angular. Small patches of fusion crust are present. Amber, golden, and green olivine crystals are cleanly exposed at the surface.
Petrography: (D. Sheikh, FSU) 3-5mm fractured olivine grains set in a moderately weathered matrix of Fe-Ni metal and Fe-oxides.
Geochemistry: Olivine (Fa10.9±0.2, range Fa10.6-11.2, n=12).
Classification: Pallasite
Specimens: 20.15 g at UCLA; main mass co-owned by Topher Spinnato and Oz Backman.
