Classification: Enstatite achondrite (Aubrite)

History: Purportedly found in 2021 in an area called Bouagba, in the west of the city Oum el Assel.

Petrography: (K. Metzler, IfP) Unbrecciated achondrite (orthopyroxenite), consisting of nearly iron-free pyroxene (enstatite) with grain sizes up to ~8 mm. Accessories are diopside and (strongly altered) daubreelite (up to 4 mm in size). Feldspar and olivine were not found in the investigated thin section.

Geochemistry: Mineral compositions and geochemistry: Low-Ca pyroxene composition: Fs0.2±0.2Wo0.9±0.1 (Fs0.0-0.5Wo0.6-1.0); n=12. High-Ca pyroxene composition: Fs0.2±0.1Wo43.3±1.8 (Fs0.0-0.5Wo41.0-46.7); n=12.
