Total weight: 8.3 kg.
Circumstances of find: Found by M. Luc Ezingeard, a police officer of Saint-Jean-enRoyans (Drome, France), while picnicking with his family near the lake at Bouvante. The stone, coated with a black glaze, was recovered from a hole 25 cm across and 50-60 cm deep. Attempts to find other similar stones in the area were unsuccessful.
